Local Parks

Fountain Park is the town’s showpiece with its beautiful lagoon and world-famous Fountain. It’s a wonderful 30-acre park providing plenty of grassy areas and shelters for picnics, a large and newly redesigned children’s playground with waterplay area, a nine-hole “disc golf” course, an amphitheatre for concerts and live performances, a Veterans’ Memorial, and a perimeter walking path that completely encircles Fountain Lake.

Directly adjacent to the High School campus, Golden Eagle Park has several lighted multipurpose fields for baseball, softball, and soccer. It also has basketball and tennis courts, sand volleyball and horseshoe pits. This 25-acre park provides a large picnic ramada for group events, 2 large playgrounds, grassy play areas, a concession stand, and a walking path around the park’s perimeter.

Another large, active-use park, Four Peaks is adjacent to Four Peaks Elementary School and Fountain Hills Boys and Girls Club. It offers 2 large multipurpose fields and lighted basketball courts. A walking bridge spans a wash to access a third lighted playing field, large picnic ramada and barbecue pit.

The newest addition to Fountain Hills’ park system, Desert Vista was made possible by a land donation from MCO Properties. A huge, grassy play area is frequently used by local youth soccer and lacrosse teams. Below this field, there is an expansive, fenced off-leash facility for area dog owners to enjoy outdoor play with their pets.

Throughout the year, the Fountain Hills Parks and Recreation Department provides a wealth of scheduled sports programs, recreational and cultural activities, and classes and information seminars for town residents of all ages. For more information, please call 480-816-5124.
